Luna’s Fund is more than a charity, it is a community born from love, loss, and the unwavering belief that no family should have to navigate baby loss alone.
Based in Plymouth and supporting families across Devon and Cornwall, we walk alongside parents during some of the most devastating and uncertain moments of their lives. Our work is deeply personal, shaped by lived experience, and driven by a simple but powerful mission, that no one should face the journey of baby loss alone.
Our aim is to positively impact the mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing of bereaved parents and expectant parents following the loss of their baby. Through partnership, shared community, and advocacy, we are a voice for those affected by baby loss, championing meaningful change and fostering connection.
Luna’s Fund - Love & Unity for Neonates And Stillborns offers immediate, practical support designed to comfort and care for families when the unimaginable happens. These services, inspired by the lived experience of our founders, include:
- Relaxing getaways across Devon and Cornwall in hotels or log cabins
- Six weeks of food shopping deliveries to ease families back into social environments
- Nursery redecoration or restoration to help families reclaim their home
- Online support groups for connection and understanding
- Beneficiary events that bring families together through shared experience
We also support families navigating pregnancy after loss through our Story Raine Project - Supporting Through Our Rainbow Years. This service, named after our founder’s rainbow baby, provides empathetic support through a uniquely vulnerable journey:
- Three private antenatal scans in addition to NHS care to break up the long wait for antenatal scans
- Online support groups for shared understanding and reassurance
- Care package box on the baby’s arrival
- Beneficiary events to connect families with others who understand
Looking to the future, our long-term vision is to create Luna’s Lodge - a safe haven retreat where families can grieve, reflect, and heal at their own pace. We also aspire to offer a ‘babymoon’ service, giving parents experiencing pregnancy after loss moments of calm, connection, and respite during an anxious and challenging time.
At its heart, Luna’s Fund is about honouring every baby, supporting every family member, and building a community where stories are shared, voices are heard, and no one feels alone.
